Fun, Easy, and Educational Sewing Activity and Tutorial for Kids

For today’s activity, we are so excited to team up with Project Runway alum, fashion designer, and founder of The Fashion Squad School, Layana Aguilar! Through the Fashion Squad School, Layana inspires kids to channel their creative energy and passion for fashion into learning the fundamentals of how to create their own designs! We are thrilled to be teaming up with Layana for a kid friendly sewing project, where she will teach our members how to sew their very own draw string bag using mostly upcycled items you can find in your home. Tune into our Instagram page on Wednesday, December 9th at 4:00 p.m. EST to follow along as Layana walks us through the project, and we take on our very own fashion challenge!

- A T-shirt that you can cut  

- Safety pin  

- Rope or a strong string  

- Scissors
