Easy and Fun At Home Phys Ed Activities for Kids
Easy and Fun At Home Phys Ed Activities for Kids
Whether your kids are back in the classroom or still learning at home, it’s important to add some physical activity to each day. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite games that will get the kids outdoors and moving. Put on your favorite kidpik activewear, and head outside!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Kidpik activewear
- Sneakers
- Beanbags
- Chalk
- Frisbee
- Cardboard boxes
Freeze Tag:
Freeze tag is a great game for all ages! It’s just like regular tag, except when a player is tagged, they must freeze with their feet spread widely apart. They’ll unfreeze when a player crawls through their legs. A player is awarded a point for every person they unfreeze.
Hopscotch:
Hopscotch is a classic that’s a great way to combine exercise and balance training. Put a fun twist on the game by replacing the number markers with simple exercises like jumping jacks or high knees. When the bean bag lands in an exercise square, the player has to perform the exercise before hopping to retrieve the bean bag.
Frisbee golf:
Set up a few cardboard boxes around the backyard (you can even use your kidpik boxes!) Have each player stand in a designated spot. Each player will get three tries to land the frisbee in the box. For each miss, the player has to dance in place for five seconds!
Total time: 1 hour
