Make Your Own Ice Cream
Nothing says summer quite like ice cream. Today, we’re back in the kitchen making our own. It might seem intimidating, but don’t worry! This no-churn ice cream is super easy to make and is sure to taste amazing.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- One 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
- 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of fine salt
- 2 cups of cold heavy cream
- Toppings of your choice
Instructions:
- Whisk together the condensed milk, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl.
- With a mixer, whip the cream on medium-high speed until firm peaks form. This takes about two minutes.
- Fold one cup of the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture using a rubber spatula.
- Once combined, fold the lightened mixture into the whipped cream until well blended.
- Pour into a chilled meatloaf pan, cover, and freeze until the mixture is thick and creamy. This can take about two hours.
- (Optional) Take your mixture out, and add the toppings of your choice.
- Continue to freeze for another three hours.
Total Time: 15 minutes prep + 5 hours in the freezer
