Glow in the Dark Experiments

Grab your lab coats! Have you ever wondered how to make something glow in the dark? Well, today you’ll learn how my creating your own glowsticks! Head to the closet and put on your favorite leggings or jeans, and graphic t-shirts from your clothing subscription box, and get ready for a day of fun.

What better way to learn how glow sticks glow than by making your own? All you’ll need is a plastic bottle, 70% isopropyl alcohol, and a chlorinating tablet.

Now that we have our glowstick, we can use it to make these fun jars. Mix your glowstick solution with glitter in a mason jar, and voila! These make great table pieces for an outdoor party, or nightlight’s for the kids!

Our last craft is glow-in-the-dark slime! This recipe from The Soccer Mom Blog will glow so brightly, you won’t even need a blacklight to see it.
